MOUNTAIN ROADS TO THE "COLD SPRING TAVERN"

In the hills just outside of Santa Barbara, Calif., there are great back roads for motorcycling, and this setting at the "Cold Spring Tavern" is a treasure of a stop on one road.

Here with Bob Sinclair, "Car Guy of the Year™" for 1996 and former president of Saab USA, we have taken two of Bob's many motorcycles out for an afternoon ride.  While Bob let me ride his fine BMW and he took his Ducati, you can bet that I was thinking that we should be trading bikes!   Of course, the BMW is a joy to pilot -- and any day with Bob Sinclair is a "ride" in itself.

Today Bob is an automotive and business consultant, and he locks up that Ducati whenever I stop by his house!
